Dear Fellow Chamber Members:
As a way to better serve our members, the Keizer Chamber of Commerce has gotten more involved in some of the local elections which will have far reaching impacts on our local small businesses.
One of those races is the contest to replace Councilor Bruce Anderson who is not running for re-election. Councilor Anderson was an invaluable ally on many issues for the Keizer Chamber. Not the least of which were the recent revisions to the city sign code. We took an active role in the discussions around the amendments and ended up in a much better place than when we started.
However, successes such as this are only possible with the support of city council members who understand the importance of small businesses in the local community.
The Keizer Chamber Board of Directors has endorsed Dan Kohler for City Council Position #6. Dan is a small business owner and very active volunteer in our community. As a city councilor, Dan will focus on our transportation needs as well as keeping kids safe.
Dan will also be a very helpful voice for Keizer small business on the City Council.
In addition to the endorsement of the Keizer Chamber of Commerce, Dan has earned the support of an impressive list of community leaders. The list includes:
Cathy Clark – Mayor of Keizer
Marlene Parsons – Current Council President
Bruce Anderson – Incumbent, Keizer City Council Position 6
Roland Herrera – Current City Councilor
Laura Reid – Current City Councilor
Kim Freeman – Current City Councilor
Amy Ryan – Current City Councilor
Lori Christopher – Former Mayor of Keizer
Dennis Koho – Former Mayor of Keizer
