Giving Baskets 2026
Tree tags are distributed to local businesses the third week of November. Pick up a tag while you're out shopping and help provide gifts to Keizer families. Volunteers gather in December for gift wrapping at Santa Central, food sorting & boxing at Keizer Elks Lodge, and basket deliveries from Santa Central. Want to volunteer? Call the Keizer Chamber.
Community impact
Keizer Chamber Giving Basket Program
Each holiday season we serve Keizer area children and families with food, clothing, and gifts, from books and toys to games and art supplies. The program is facilitated by the Keizer Chamber Foundation and funded through the annual Percey event, with hundreds of additional donations from the surrounding community.
How it works

Trees go up
Each winter, 8–10 area businesses set up Christmas trees decorated with gift tags carrying wishes from local children.

Community fills the tags
Community members take tags, fill the requests, and return unwrapped gifts to the sponsoring business or the Keizer Chamber.
- 3
Volunteers collect
Keizer's Elves, with heavy-lifting support from the Men of Action Keizer (MAK), collect gifts and bring them to Santa Central.

Delivery to families
Gifts are checked and placed in a family box alongside a food box, then delivered directly to Keizer families in time for the holidays.
Tags are confidential, they only list the age and gender of each child, and great care is taken to protect the privacy of every family.
Every family also receives a healthy food box, non-perishables, potatoes, onions, apples, rice, and a family-sized ham, thanks to local businesses, individuals, and the Keizer Community Food Bank.
