A Strong Voice for Keizer's Business Community
The Keizer Chamber of Commerce represents the interests of local employers before city, state, and federal decision-makers. We monitor proposed legislation, meet with elected officials, provide testimony, and help policymakers understand how taxes, regulations, and government programs affect businesses in our community.
The Government Affairs Committee
The Government Affairs Committee at the Keizer Chamber is a way to convene small businesses and government leaders. It provides a unique way for both sides to discuss issues and receive feedback. Chamber members in the room, from a variety of sectors, can provide real-world examples of how policies affect them.
One of the biggest events of the year for GAC is the State of the City event we host with business partners and sponsors in the community. This event brings together the Keizer community — residents, businesses, government officials, non-profits, service organizations, and more.
What We Do
Representing Businesses at Every Level
Decisions made by city councils, state legislators, agencies, and Congress can have a direct impact on local employers. The Keizer Chamber works to ensure the business community has a seat at the table when those decisions are being made.
Local Advocacy
We engage with the City of Keizer on issues involving public safety, city fees, development, transportation, permitting, and economic growth.
State Advocacy
We advocate for a more competitive business environment across Oregon, including reasonable taxes, simpler regulations, and policies that support employers and employees.
Federal Advocacy
We monitor federal policies affecting taxes, health care, labor regulations, energy costs, trade, and the ability of small businesses to grow.
