Thanks to the generous support of WaFD Bank – North Salem branch, Leadership Keizer 2.0 has proudly launched its first-ever CO.STARTERS Core cohort—a 10-week business development program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs and early-stage business owners in the Salem-Keizer area build strong foundations and turn their ideas into action.
The program officially kicked off on July 15, 2025, and will conclude with a celebration and pitch event on September 16, 2025. Six motivated participants are currently engaging in this transformative experience.
What Is CO.STARTERS Core?
CO.STARTERS Core is more than just a business class—it’s a hands-on, collaborative journey that walks participants through a proven framework to validate their ideas, overcome challenges, and set clear goals for sustainable growth. It’s specifically tailored for individuals who:
- Own a business but feel stuck or unsure how to grow,
- Have a side-hustle with full-time potential,
- Are creatives or hobbyists ready to monetize their passion,
- Have a great idea but need guidance to get started.

Each week focuses on a critical piece of the entrepreneurial puzzle:
- Know Yourself – Clarifying your motivation and vision
- Understand Your Customers – Identifying and validating customer needs
- Business Solutions & Starting Small – Testing ideas on a small scale
- Getting, Keeping & Growing Customers – Building strategies to attract and retain customers
- Revenue, Pricing & Distribution – Exploring how to generate income and deliver your product/service
- Legal & Accounting – Laying a foundation for compliance and systems
- Financial Modeling – Testing financial feasibility
- Funding & Capital – Exploring funding options and long-term sustainability
- Growth Plans & Goal Setting – Mapping out a growth strategy
- Celebrate – Pitching their business and reflecting on progress
